CSFB on Semis : CS First Boston lowering its 2001 semiconductor industry growth forecasts to reflect a weaker than expected inventory situation and macroeconomic environment. While firm says it is not the first to state that chip growth has slowed, believes the slowdown will be significantly weaker than current forecasts predict; sees possibility of further downward revisions to expectations following Q4 conference calls.
