Jay, I have had the fortunate chance to live in both Silicon Valley (helping to sell a start-up in 1998) and work on Wall Street, which I currently still do.

Your argument is very circular in nature. The REASON that prices went up so much in Silicon Valley was because people were getting paid so ridiculously high.

This really hurts those at the bottom of the totem pole. This country needs to work a lot harder in helping the poor, providing health-care for all, and promoting a responsible personal finance climate. Unfortunately none of these were achieved in our so-called boom and now it's coming home to roost and will hurt very bad.

The Clinton administration had a great chance to solve some of the structural problems that plague this county and they didn't lift a finger...sad, so sad.
