That's a bit vague. As I recall, the National average in the US is better than 98%. Perhaps it was 99 but either way the doctor I used was just better than the national level and knew where he was.

Now depending on how he views statistics, this doctor in the article may believe that he is better than 95% and that's close to zero, or he may believe that he is better than 99% and that is close to zero. Semantics. I think I would want a better number if I was doing it again than "I think I'm close to zero".

That infers that he does not pay enough attention to detail to my way of thinking.

Anyway, I had Lasik in my left eye and earlier had PRK in my right. My left is stable, my right weakened a bit.
