Craig,

If I were away for a week, I'd also probably have 1,000 messages to read. There appear to be 2 issues.

1) How would one be able to stop reading in the middle of their unread messages, and have the site remember which one they stopped on?

2) Is it time-wasting to load 1,000 messages in one window? How does one provide the desired number of messages across the desired number of subject to a user without them having to click a ton of buttons to optimize?
