Tommy's looking technically good these days. But it won't last! This is just a bull correction to a long-term bear market in this stock. Notice how TOM did not take part in the general market increase? When the market turns inevitably sourer (is that a word?) TOM is going to get crushed again, just like many clothing stocks like Gucci, DKNY, NAUT, etc. My long-term target (by 1998) for this stock is 16. Around the middle of June should be about the right time to short this sucka.

And, no, I do not work for any clothing companies. I'm a PhD student supplementing my meager income by shorting overvalued "emotional" stocks like TOM, CNTO (centocor), AIMM (autoimmune -- rode that one from 15 down to 3!), Kelloggs (the greatest of all -- 32 PE!), etc.

And Hilfiger is a racist white power son-of-a-bitch who has made comments ON RECORD and are available on the internet -- just search (I also provided some linx earlier). I believe he has also sold all or most of his stock when TOM was trading in the 60's. Smart man. He saw the writing on the wall, just as I and Adam Segel did when you were hyping this stock into the 70's.

p.s. I don't expect much from the new women's lines too. I showed my lady friends a catalog of Hilfiger lady fashions and they unanimously said the stuff is vile and wouldn't be caught dead in it.
