Stop trying to set up GWB for failure before he even takes office. He shouldn't have promised those massive cuts that he knew he couldn't deliver. If there is only one person who knows what "read my lips" can do, it is W. He knew it then, and he knows it now, that he will not deliver that promise that was made to win the election. For the nation's sake, he should do the right thing and not worry about pleasing those who made his victory possible and who have a lot to gain if he can deliver on his promise. As far as Clinton is concerned, Greenie is independent and NO ONE can force him to do anything. If only W had promised to pay off the debt and then cut taxes .....
