Can you imagine the war correspondents of WW2 accepting being denied access to the field, staying back at headquarters in "press pools" waiting for the "daily briefing," and reporting only the "official version" of events? well... i think even then there was a degree of "controlled" releases, and in some cases more than now. i do know of a case in re: Pearl Harbor that information was withheld... (I can not debate this as it is too close for comfort) all i can say, is i know what i know. the only way --realistically-- that the concept of "we the people" will ever become an influential part of the process is if the general level of education rises. this is a generation long process. unfortunately, with the current tv programming and the way that public schools are structured... i doubt very much we will have significant progress... this is were i would not mind seeing that education for little ones (pre-school level, Montessori type), could be very beneficial... if i am to pay taxes, this is where i would not mind seeing it spent. damned the millions that are wasted in stupid little other programs... perhaps this election fiasco could be the trigger point... the low of the chart to put it in investment terms... _______ btw have you all seen that DYN (the company I am taking a look at) is UP today ? I think I discovered a little gem here.... once again: dynegy.com
