How so?

Past history has no bearing on the future.
So in one year things have changed so much that thousands of years of psychology and economics has become irrelevant? Do you actually believe that?

I would suggest that you should study economic history and the history of technology. What has happened here isn't really different from, say, the introduction of railroads or radio.
