I don't believe the economy has slowed that much.

I live in one of the hottest of the tech hotspots, and no doubt about it, things have slowed down considerably. Whether the economy actually contracts, I don't really know, and I find it unlikely we'll actually slide into anything resembling a depression because most people I know are finding other work pretty quickly...but some of them are taking pay cuts in the process. No doubt about it, the economy has slowed very significantly.

Next to topple here will be real estate...
