There are 2 reasons for that, Tom.
1. The Porch is Tom's thread, and as I see it, how he deports himself on it is his choice, as it is it mine on G&K and Poet's on the Options Box. If we're off base, we'll soon find ourselves talking to ourselves, so the process is self correcting.
2. We are bombarded with "expert advice" from many quarters on everything from how often to floss our teeth, what to eat, how much insurance to carry, how to raise our kids, who to vote for, etc. I figure anyone who has grown to adulthood and has an IQ over 90 realizes that they need to form their own opinions and take responsibility for their own actions. If Voltaire was taking money from Porchers and managing their accounts for them, that would be a different matter - then he would have to bear responsibility. But as it is, he is simply voicing his own opinions.

I see you just joined this thread in late November. If you read the archives, you'll see I've been the object of a fair number of mean spirited comments.
