it certainly seems possible. but i'm appalled at the call buying volume in QQQ options. it still outpaces put buying by a wide margin. i.e, lots of speculation by the little guy on exactly the scenario you are outlining. that said, 10:1 down/up volume sure looks like capitulation. note however the technical damage on e.g. the SnP/OEX charts...rather sobering it is.
