May be "Killer" is not the right word, but he sure stopped the technology wave. Until his "Irrational Exuberance" speech, nobody even cared about what the Fed did. Fed is not even mentioned prominently in any of the prospectuses or business plans. If the Fed is so concerned about investors, they must look over the prospectuses of companies first before offering to public. If the investors/traders or dumb enough to put their money in some non-viable companies, they would suffer the consequences. So far, every time there is a crash, it can be traced to the Fed action.
