U.S. stocks to watch
Outpost.com (COOL: news, msgs) announced a narrower-than expected loss for its third quarter. The Internet retailer of consumer electronic products reported a pro forma loss of $5.6 million, or 18 cents a share, compared with $8.5 million, or 36 cents a share, during the same quarter last year. Analysts surveyed by First Call were expecting a loss of 20 cents a share, on average. Revenue was $95.7 million compared with $43.2 million last year. Outpost also said it is comfortable with 2001 earnings estimates. Shares closed up 19 cents at $1.06
