JW - Some fundamentals surely must count. Q is at the take-off point. Every day some otehr license or deal announced that will earn royalties for the foreseable future.

Every day the chances for W-CDMA lets say don't improve and the chances of the cheaper and more efficient cdma2000 do improve. Q incidentally gets the same royalties on both.

PDAs becoming always on internet devices as well as phones, mobile interenet access from cdma laptop modems, access from vehicles etc etc.

All these gadgets didn't get sold once yet but they start in 01 except for Korea which has already started. In contrast to say INTC which has a mature market which may have peaked and even CSCO which is also a mature company. Q is not a mauture company and its market has almost not even started yet. It is highly profitable, cash rich and has no debt.

That being said in this market it is more likely than not in this market that for no reason other than the shorts decide it is QCOM's turn for attention that it gets shorted. Since nothing is is safe and single digit P/Es are on their way and fast any company with a P/E over 10 is vulnerable. Even companies with P/Es under 10 can be smashed further down as SSTI for example.

Best regards,

L
