We keep hearing that one can only lose $1 or 25 cents or 40 cents if one buys a low priced stock. Everything is relative. If one invested $100,000 when a stock is $80 or $100,000 when the price is 30 cents the potential for loss will not be decreased by the fact that the stock is "cheap".
