Hey PW, long time no chat. Are MSFT bulls having fun yet? Actually, is anyone invested long having fun yet. I wonder if today is a capitulation bottom. 2.7B shares traded on the Naz with a drop of 7.1%.
My last trade on MSFT this year was back in early April, the day after MSFT was declared a monopoly. I bailed out of some ITM short-term call options that I had a good price-cushion on. I recall posting to someone on this thread that I believed MSFT was going into a bear market that would last at least 9 months.

Instead of investing excess cash, I've saved it and put it into a new house, and bought all new furniture. This has been one of the most relaxing and enjoyable years I've had in a long time. I "just said no" to the stock market. I rarely post on SI anymore, and no longer follow the markets very closely.
Lately things have gotten more interesting though. The view from "outside" is sublime. -g-
I figured that, with the Naz gaining 80% in 1999, and then going from ~4,000 to ~5,000 by March 2000, with financial reporters in the media saying things like "we think the market will keep soaking up all this excess investment money for some time to come".... Well, in my mind the stock market had become the world's largest ponzi scheme...and I didn't want to be involved.
That said, MSFT at $40-41 has some support going back to March and May of 1998. Win2000 will do better next year than it has this year, IMO. Our company is still on an NT 4.0 network, and eventually we will upgrade to Win2000. It's not a question of if, but when.
