fred...."just a chip company"

totally agree, owned it and prospered in its momentum stage....but what has been holding it up above its peers is the "broad" in broadcom....it is a fine company with strong growth potential, but it was perceived as something special and unique as it applied to broadband applications.....

the question now is "what is the state of broadband expansion".....apparently not evolving as most analysts believed..look at a company as t, that placed major emphasis on broadband....(existing communications infrastructure especially in populated urban areas, requires a great deal of investment to introduce broadband....not many around at the moment to make major capital investment!)

not to say brcm will be profitable, but to query why should it be valued so much above a company 25x its size as intc....?
