bill, next time you talk to neil cavuto or fox in general, you ought to ask if you can appear on the o'reilly factor. o'reilly is on a tear saying, essentially, that greenspan is a dictator run amok and that a 1/4 point rate cut would have staved off a recession which is now unstoppable. cavuto appeared on his program and told him it was bunk what he was saying. but this has been the major theme, nevertheless, with o'reilly since the resolution of the election. it seems to me whether 1/4 point was indicated or when it will come is up for debate, but the whole future of civilization doesn't depend on it the way o'reilly is portraying the case. also, it seems to me that most folks fail to realize that seasonality in economics is actually a positive in that it weeds out excesses, and that this factor is important in ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently in the economy.
