I think that if Gore would have reached farther to the Nader voters he would have lost the middle. Was a no win for Gore in that regard

I disagree. The middle of the Democratic party would have swallowed hard and reluctantly voted for Gore, just like a lot of people who wanted Nader did in voting for Gore. The middle still would have been swayed by the Supreme Court argument, and wouldn't have voted for the dyslexic doubya.

I also agree that if Gore swallowed HIS pride and had allowed Clinton to campaign for him, he'd have won easily. The Florida mess obscured the fact that this election was lost by an incompetent campaign.
