checked out my hunch. ask on zila today ranged from 8 1/2 to 8 5/8 and ask range on bdtc was 5 1/8 - 5 1/4. factored out this means bdtc potentially worth - using most conservtive figure of 8 1/2 for zila - 6 3/8 (@ 3/4 ea.) to 7 1/2 (@ 7/8)
going with the higher ask on zila the profit is potentially greater, obviously.
oh, in my prior did i say 3/4 share to 5/8 of zila per bdtc? meant 7/8.
somebody out there tell me where i have gone wrong... if i have. this sort of premium seems awfully good. perhaps it is what one pays for the uncertainty of knowing IF the deal will close, and what zila will be selling for when it does. seeing the way zila has survived the current melt-down i don't feel too much uncertainty as to its value holding up. or does dilution somehow enter into it???
come on you cadre of super-knowledgeable bozos who seem to be following everything on earth - 'fess up! is this picture flawed?
am thinking of putting in a limit order on bdtc to see if i can pick it up at 5. don
