well. hmmm.

for years we heard that "they" were going "ramp" the thing again on a tick by tick basis. every move in the market was caused by "them". clearly federal reserve, or treasury, or tax cut moves are powerful influences on the market. but isn't it silly to think that every action by the market is caused by this conspiracy. i think the new greenspan conspiracy is pretty transparent to this group because the counter explanation is that it was a bubble anyway, stoopit, and it had to happen sometime and people are looking for a scapegoat. i'm trying to say that perhaps the ppt theorists were looking for someone to blame everytime the market went the wrong way for them the same way the current crop of greenspan haters are doing now.
