The notion that the Internet is doubling every eye blink supports the continuing purchase of fibre and routers etc. But much of the enthusiasm is based on the idea that it will help business. But the news is filled with dot.com's going belly up and many of the Internet retailers are not making a buck. If the business application proves to be less than forecast the Internet will be less than forecast as well. Anyone seen an analysis of what happens if the retail application proves to be an illusion??
