And Clinton wasted money on 100,000 cops for a year and required the localities to pick up the rest of the tab. Ditto for teachers. All the localities did was ignore the 2nd year and paid for 1 year, wasting all that money. Clinton wasted even more money than Reagan until the Republicans in Congress stopped him. Pete, Crime is down to its lowest level in 30 years. The decrease is attributed to three major things: community basing, better economic times and more cops.....and it was the last one that got LA thru its mess in the mid 90's. So explain to me how this was a bad thing... ted
