Janice, This is especially annoying, as you don't know what you'll be paying if you put in a market order at the open. Janice, you're not imagining things. I've ended up paying more than I wanted to by doing exactly as you describe. It was annoying. I called e-schwab and ragged on them for it, too. I had a quote at 9:38AM EST, so I used a market order. But I ended up paying another 1/4 point. e-schwab claimed that the quote I got was a "pre-opening" quote. That's why I swore off market orders for options. Buncha crooks, IMO, and I even told Schwab that. -G- DK
