In which Dr. Tom takes 'em to the limit with extreme cooling. Just as a rough indicator of what headroom is available, the max speed obtained:

1159 mhz Piii/Celeron
1066 mhz Duron
1485 mhz Athlon
1888 mhz P4

If we take the 10-15% margin necessary to get shippable Piii's as a guide, this would have the current Duron maxing out at 900, the Athlon at 1300, and the P4 at 1700 or so. By this estimate, for whatever it's worth, nobody's got that much headroom to play will at this point.
