Other than imode in Japan does anyone know of any mobile wireless internet service that charges by the bit? I see Sprint charges per minute; for data minutes over plan, the price is 0.25-.39 cents per minute. Of course if you're within Sprint's coverage range, you wouldn't use G* anyway. e12.sprintpcs.com A competing Inmarsat satellite system charges $2.75/minute for data rates 1/4 of G's and you have to pay 2.4K$ for a 1 Kg suitcase unit that's incompatible with any terrestrial standard to get it, so maybe G isn't that bad. gmpcs-us.com gmpcs-us.com
