Right on Kirk! You understand what Richard doesn't. It's the treatment of your customers that matters here. It's Bob's unbelieveable ability to turn a supporter into a furious customer with one tiny email and some rude reps. This happened this morning and I'm still furious. He was rude, disrespectful and dismissive. Good for him, he feels better and I am still boiling. It's easy, easy to take care of at the outset. Why couldn't the email say that X posts of mine were TOS violations and were pulled. Another X number of warnings and I would be banned from the boards. That is 100% acceptable because it lets people know upfront (TOS statement) and it is not heavy handed but it gets the job done. I would have been a bit taken aback but not furious. To go further, what in the world do the boards have to do with the newsletter subscription? You can turn off one without touching the other. I think it was a very rude attempt to make me feel badly and it worked.
