Thanks to everyone for commenting....I'm sure we will learn more about this subject with this type of participation.

It really is an interesting subject. It really does touch everyone's lives in one way or the other.

This debate has surfaced from time to time. I was actually surprised to hear a caller phone into CNBC and ask Bill Seidman "if the Federal Reserve Act should be repealed" wednesday. I was floored! His response was very interesting. He actually said it should be examined and that it may be an out dated system.

The likelihood is slim such an event would ever happen, however, never say never. The coming discussions should be interesting...

This current expanding bull run was halted in a period of 8 months.....we went from 7% GDP growth to possible negative growth in the next few quarters.....that is amazing....what caused this sudden change? Simple....it wasn't a war, it wasn't rapid inflation, it wasn't a crisis. It wasn't the end of any business cycles....The Fed turned off the money spigot with an excessive interest rate hike cycle. In the beginning we were told the Fed only wanted to cool the economy down....now we are seeing something different.

Thanks again to everyone and also to those who have sent me pm's
Jeff
