Starbreak, I'll share this secret with you regarding the question if you should buy HDI now, or when, and what my opinion is. ***** You are just as capable as anyone on this board or wall-street to try and time your purchase!!! *** I am serious. No one knows. Investing is analysis on the fundamentals of a company, and doing your best to pick your spot. Just ask anyone here how they have done timing their purchase decisions---me included! So, if you think HDI is a quality company that will be higher in price by spring, just buy. Ask youself this, however, " will I be able to sleep at night if the stock loses 10%, 20% before spring and will I have the staying power or will I get shaken out and sell" In the end we all must live with our decisions, except mutual fund investors who can blame management for their decisions. One concept I use to lessen the impact of a poor timing decision is scaling into a position over time. Its sort of like dollar cost averaging into a fund.
Good luck, and I do like HDI fundamentally and think you have a reasonable chance to see the stock higher by Spring.
