Cramer defends his "hubris:" biz.yahoo.com Talk about timing it wrong. When he says he's made millions over the past years, he forgets to say he's also lost millions. Someone should tell him you don't downgrade a stock or sector at the bottom based on information that's already been factored in. Now's the time to say, "Yes, there have been carrier spending worries. Valuations have come in line with more guarded expectations. We think it's time to decide which companies will benefit even if some carriers lower their spending plans and the sector is less explosive than earlier thought. . . ." Having said this, I'd go one step further and say some segments of the telecom sector will continue to be explosive and that fiber optics components is at the top of that list with JDSU (with SDLI) so much in the lead there's not even a close second.
