<Bush is just making SURE people realize it was the FAILED ECONOMICS of the Previous administration < Well, that's certainly an interesting strategy! Convince the people that there's a recession happening so that they pull back dramatically and it actually comes true. Brilliant plan to say the least! Face it, "dubbya" doesn't have the market's confidence in the least. His stream of appointments of mummified relics from the 80's hasn't lit anyone's fire. His treasury secretary is a total joke, could he have found anyone less in tune with the markets of teh 21st century? How about that hack he brought in for Commerce? What you're looking at is a group of people, starting with Bush, that don't understand anything about the current U.S. economy. Oil, mining and smelting are not what jobs or prosperity is about today. But, that's what Cheney and Bush understand. The market has realized that the Shrub is over his head, Cheney is running things and he's stuck in the 80's.
