Worst decisions - Shaving with Fractions

About two years ago, Trimble Navigation (TRMB) ran into trouble, and dropped close to book value. After some discussion with a relative, I entered a 30-day order slightly below the market price (a tactic I've used effectively elsewhere). My priority was to get an even, neat block of shares rather than to take the immediate opportunity.

I congratulated myself when, a few weeks later, the price dipped below my target, then took off, eventually to dec-uple. (10x; from 7 to 70.)

But - remember that 30-day order? The price dipped below my target all right ... thirty-TWO days after I had entered it. Oops.

- Mitch
