Hi, John - first, a HEARTY CONGRATS on your ...

... exquisite timing on the QCOM sale ... indeed, couldn't have been better.

Re BRCD: <g> Thanks for mentioning ... I'm looking very hard at puts today -- not Tuesday -- TODAY.

Why?

1. P/E today = 244
2. Third 2:1 split within past 12 months.
3. Storage has not yet been (quite) decimated.

#2 above is strongly reminiscent for me of trading RMBS up UNTIL that 4:1 split. Also, recall DELL's 'too many splits' activity their 'last good year.'

Here's the Yahoo! chart:

finance.yahoo.com

I'm looking at ITM and slightly OTM puts in Feb or Apr.

My bearish outlook these days reflects an opinion that the real effects of recession are only starting to appear -- and we have the first 'heads-ups' as avid followers of every tick taking place in the stock market <g>.

I am convinced that we will have a seemingly non-stop barrage of news from all tech regarding dramatic decreases in sales and revs because of corporate reduced expenditures on IT.

BTW: NEWP -- LOL. Looks like a great (short) daytrader to me, in contrast to 'the mystical whimsy' of those 'much smarter' than me in 'trading the NAZ,' if you know what I mean.

<g>

Happy holidays and good day to all, now ...
