Computerland in Kuala Lumpur is now selling parallel and SCSI Zips at the same price (about $249 before discount), although the salesperson I talked to said that customers were mainly interested in the parallel version. When asked for a recommendation between a Zip or a Syquest drive, guess which one she picked :)

Jaz drives are availble in KL too, but they are a bit pricey: about $900 each. Much better to buy direct from the US. To date I have 2 Jaz drives and 7 disks. I'm thinking about getting a couple of Zips locally (I figure $199 + $40 shipping from the US comes to about the same as Computerland's prices here.) BTW, Zip disks are selling for $24 each.
