Few people realize what chances XRX had to command the digital world we now know. Their Palo Alto Research Center invented(among others) the GUI interface, the mouse, and Ethernet. They could have been MSFT and more had some people within the company had any foresight whatsoever.

Hubris kills, but so does the lack of a simple understnding of the "Big Picture."
