ot to amat but not market psychology...

G., if I had a nickel for every time I have made a (bad) play based on a prior worse play ... well, I could buy a pretty good steak! Appears I hit a chord with you.

In my younger, naive, childish, emotional years (WAY different than now!) I would chase gambling losses in the extreme. Chasing a $200 loss could result in a $5,000 down night for no other reason than an inability to walk away from a small hit.

Now in the market... oh boy can one rationalize why the big one got away but only because you were unlucky.

It's like the guy at the track who does the $1 trifecta box with 4 horses. He always JUST missed. Well, shi* in say a field of 9 horses you are ALWAYS going to just miss it... or so it would appear. That's trading.

You should have seen the time I was going to buy puts on Carnival Cruise lines after the fire on one of their ships made national news... just missed filling before real meltdown....
