Both companies are cheap, and the two combined will do better in the market than either alone. The combined companies will also have low leverage. I suspect the SMOP BOD choose them due to their size, and their success at growing production. Kaiser also has an excellent name in the business. Combining the Canadian operations will be a big G & A savings. Both companies have sizable operations in Canada, which is not cheap for companies their size.

To answer your question, I don't know. If PEX sells off, I would be a buyer. It's hard to tell what the warrants will do in the short run.
