Jill,

Yes, their website is way too slow. And you are completely correct about Power St. Pro...very cumbersome and also very slow. I use FOX+ (Fidelity Online Xpress)...it is an interface program that you download to your computer and obtain quotes, enter orders, manage several functions of your account, etc. No waiting for pages to refresh...just have to log on (and sometimes that is a little slow as well, but NOT nearly as bad as dealing with their web site.) They have had it since '96 or '97 and haven't advertise it much any more because they thought Power Pro was going to be the end all. They have been thinking of phasing FOX out, so they didn't do much development work with it for the past year, but I understand that they have finally realized their website still has some short-comings for serious traders so they have put a new thrust into upgrading FOX. They just added the feature to enter stop orders, but they are only stop "loss" orders. Still can't do stop "limit" orders, so for that I have a bookmark to their regular site....but I kind of cheat and use stop loss most of the time, anyway. If your interested, you can download at: foxdownload.fidelity.com

Supposedly, their next upgrade will be qn entirely new platform that will have all the features we need.....but by then I will probably be off to Interactive Brokers.

BTW..like you I place limit orders as well and find that I get better, faster fills on them than I do with market orders......I don't really understand that. Plus, I always get screwed on market order fills.
