Your definition of a bigot is somewhat, but not fully, accurate. I think your definition would better suit the term "bull-headed." On some issues ... such as those that affect the common working man and common working woman, i.e. preservation of pension plans ... I am most certainly bull-headed.

A bigot, on the other hand, preaches intolerance and prejudice and narrow-mindedness, and does so blindly, without regard to the facts. I am just the opposite of a bigot. I preach tolerance, acceptance of a wide range of viewpoints, and believe that the more information a person has, the better he or she will be able to make an intelligent decision.
