There sure are some American Jews who support(ed) GW Bush... I recall Gov Sununu talking on CNN and NSA Condi Rice's gonna work with three Jewish assistants: Horowitz, Perle, and Zoellick, if I remember right. Yet, they're exceptions to the rule. Obviously, I don't deny Jews the right to push their own agenda but it's worrisome when their endeavours threaten the very democratic fabric itself.

Again, I don't think that the unprecedented attempt to thwart a Republican win during the last US election has much to do with domestic issues --ie wholesale tax cut and other welfare measures. President Bush ran afoul of FOREIGN powers AND their American stooges. If you doubt it, just read the international press and comments --from Europe and Israel-- about the victory of GW Bush.

I know it's hard for Americans, especially African Americans and other minorities, to acknowledge that GW Bush was the best candidate FOR THEM AS WELL. Indeed, it seems that the GOP is basically the fiefdom of reactionary and racist white Americans.... Such an irony for a party whose definition in The American Heritage Dictionary is: "...a party founded in 1854 to fight against slavery." (quoting from memory).

Gus.
