Master; I don't know why it took so long to dawn on me
but I think of "Broad band" being more band width.

LONG TERM
The catch 22 is that new technology has been expanding
the ability to create more and more band width just
as fast as computers expanded CPU capacity.

The point being it's bound to expand faster than it
can create a market for it. ( or one where you can
have any pricing power ).

Even a DSL connection will let 4 or more networked
computers use the same connection and only be maxed out if
they all start video streaming at once.
Wireless LAN is making this a snap to set up.

Broadband by it's nature shoots its ability to be
high profit in the foot.
Margins will likely get
less than Retail Stores like Walmart, and I seriously
doubt revenues for any single supplier will
ever match those of Walmart ...

The Long Term pricing of this stuff
will depend on what you can get
the end users to pay,
Should it command any more respect than
the pricing of any retail outlet, If as much
as in time that's their fate ? ( if they are
lucky ) .
I can visualize bandwidth expanding to 10 times more
than the world is ready to use.
The bottom line will always get on down the food
chain to what will "users" be willing to
pay for bandwidth.
IMHO
The long term fate of Broad Band is no more promising
than that of BOX makers, it eventually just
becomes a commodity & one with over supply
problems.
