Dear Johannes: You live in Kentucky too? haha. I dont think anyone means any disrespect about calling someone a "Bible Thumper" people have been called worse. Anyhow, you made a nice speech and Merry Christmas to you and yours also. I would warn you though that Christmas is ACTUALLY A PAGAN CUSTOM. Has nothing to do with Christ, who in fact was probably born in APRIL. It really is a celebration of the Winter Solice period and relates to FERTILITY. When the Christians finally got their Roman Emporer to adopt Christianity he and they knew they would NEVER be able to get people to give up that festival--sooo--if you cant beat em join em and they changed the name to CHRISTMAS and related it to the Birth of Christ. Since Rome ruled the known world at the time, everyone just went along. I am giving you the shortened version of things but thats the gist of how "Christmas" came to be. JDN
