WCDMA surprise,
It ranks as one of the major surprises of the year, right up there with the demise of GSTRF, that the technology we have known as royalty expensive, inefficient, not commercially available "vaporware", is in fact being made by the Q.
This must be a political strategy, to save face for companies and countries, rather than technical.
WCDMA must be a migration path to the technologically superior. A dual WCDMA/CDMA capable phone wil end up pure CDMA eventually. I truly can't believe that Korea will infact pay a higher royalty to go WCDMA, do you?
