Ish, Your experience exposes a poorly understood attribute of Affirmative Action. There's a difference between the number of people in Affirmative Action classes of the general population and the number of applicants in those same classes. That's a problem. Until it is solved the workforce will not reflect the population. Affirmative Action attempts to do it from the demand side. There has to be an effort on the supply side as well. It won't happen the way Jesse Jackson and his like want. It will happen eventually, but only by implementing the kinds of policies George W. Bush plans.
