I'm only expecting a bear market rally -- "I think we're due for a bear market rally for a couple of months before a resumption of the downtrend." I didn't say we have already seen "the bottom."

Bear market rallies like the one we had starting in May are not based on fundamentals, but are rather bounces (sometimes sizable)within a downtrending market. I agree that "the bottom" will not be put in while there's so much bullish sentiment around. I think "the bottom" will come when everyone's afraid to own stocks and thinks you're crazy if you want to go long (though lots of people thought I was crazy wanting to go long on Thursday).
