Basing a fundamental belief on *nothing* is actually one of the definitions of insanity

Really?

I am sure if you line up all the physical circumstantial evidence that there is (say) a God, and lined it up with all the physical circumstantial evidence that there is not, I feel fairly certain that you will end up with a probability of 0.5. That is, there is as much evidence for as against.

Now, just speaking in a rational logical sense, (this isn't how I developed my religious views btw, we are just arguing a point as it's Christmas), and with the sure knowledge that we don't know everything except we are going to die someday, it would make one tend to believe there is a God. Just in case as it were. That sounds fairly sane and logical to me.

Mind you, you probably don't have to worry much. Seeing as you took that dubious broker of yours to the cleaners. I suspect that one act by itself has probably assured you a reservation upstairs

regards,

pearly.
