ws, interesting conversation. i believe you two have hit on two KEY issues facing humanity. the downfall of humanity will be due to a value system that says destroying the world is better than not achieving my self interest.
as you so keenly observed, though, such a value system is wrong headed and not in line with reality. unfortunately, people base decisions on perception and not reality.
i firmly believe such a wrong headed value system will threaten humanity in time - don't ask me how long, though. it could be a short or looooooooooooooooooooooong time, but i'm sure it will happen eventually. |
