Yeah right, and I am the fairy good mother... -g-

Say Yaacov... I just had a bottle of Sassicaia and Ornellaia side by side... (shared of course --Hic ! -g-)

Although both delicious, please tell me I am wrong... I thought Ornellaia was a slightly better and smoother wine...

[perhaps it was the Dom Perignon before dinner -gg-] ""

I believe you had a Ornellia that is a great wine! I am not sure if you had a real bottle of Sassicaia!! A bottle of Sassicaia 1992 here costs Lit.500,000. plus minus
US $220. I bottle of Sassicaia 1996 costs about 250,000., US $ 120!

What did you pay for the bottle! Why am I asking! The Sassicaia is coming from 5 hectars of land! Very limited production, and police here just busted a people who producing fake Sassicaia! So it pays to go to established
wine suppliers!

Sassicaia is aged in "NEW" Slovenian Oak for 4 years and then 2 years in a bottle! So the wine has the taste of oak, it is smooth, and doesn't bite! No after effect! It is great wine but exaggerated in price! Ornellaia is the sister wine! More affordable!

One way to see if the bottle is not fake, you should touch the ticket! If the golden letters are are not even with the rest, then the bottle could be authentic! Let me know! You alos can tell by the taste of wood that comes to you mind the first time you drink it!
