I agree. One thing Bush did last week struck me as very clever. You noticed I am sure that he met with a bunch of black leaders and pointedly omitted the "Reverend" Jackson. While he did speak with Jackson by phone, he did not meet with him in person. This is strategy I believe to redefine the black leadership. To elevate other more reasonable voices within the black community. Jackson's recen rhetoric is inflammatory and unnecessary (and shameful IMO). I think the movet is part of an overall strategy for the Republican message to resonate more clearly in the black community. I believe there is a diversity of opinion in the black community which is not represented by the Jacksons and Sharptons. Very smart move by Bush.
