Just to confuse things further on the tax front, those of us with 'Trader Status' don't worry about 'selling for tax loss' - we use "mark to market" accounting.....our portfolio is 'inventory', and treated like the inventory of any other business. fairmark.com Jerry (Thanks again for taking the time to provide us with your market updates - hope things work out for the best with your mom).
